Advanced Embedded Software Engineer – Computer Enhanced

About the role

We are seeking an Advanced Embedded Software Engineer to develop and integrate software for automotive gateway ECUs and related systems. You will work within Bosch's global development teams, applying Agile practices to deliver high‑quality, maintainable code that meets strict automotive standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, code, configure, unit‑test, and document embedded software for automotive platforms.
• Apply Agile (Scrum) processes, including code reviews, design reviews, and technical documentation.
• Analyze and implement software requirements ensuring functional and technical compliance.
• Create and maintain unit‑test frameworks, test code, and automation scripts.
• Provide technical guidance to global teams and collaborate on cross‑functional issue resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience developing low‑level embedded software in C.
• Proficiency with debuggers (e.g., iSystem, Lauterbach) and configuration/change‑management tools (Integrity, ClearCase, Synergy, Git, JIRA).
• Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostic protocols (UDS, OBD, J1939, J1699, J1979) and communication buses (CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet).
• Experience with verification tools such as Vector CANoe or Intrepid Vehicle Spy.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) for collaboration with international teams.
