Advanced Manufacturing Technician (AME)

About the role

Copeland is seeking a skilled Advanced Manufacturing Technician to join its Chihuahua, Mexico facility. The role focuses on hands‑on assembly, machining, wiring, and tooling fabrication to support automation and test equipment for electronic products.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, and CNC equipment.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
• Assemble mechanical, wiring, and pneumatic systems.
• Measure, examine, and test parts for conformance using precision instruments.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and adjust machine settings.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and document production activities.
• Assist in the assembly, machining, and qualification of test equipment and automation fixtures.
• Label cables/hoses, manage cable termination, and update schematics as needed.
• Verify continuity and power supplies with digital multimeters.
• Acquire and order materials required for builds.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Experience with both manual and CNC machinery.
• Strong blueprint and schematic reading abilities.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
