Advanced Procurement Buyer – Automotive

About the role

The Advanced Procurement Buyer will lead sourcing and procurement initiatives for a global Tier‑1 automotive supplier. Working from Hermosillo with a hybrid schedule, you will support key automotive commodities, supplier programs, and new‑product introductions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sourcing and procurement for assigned product lines, driving cost savings and commodity strategy.
• Negotiate with suppliers, manage contracts, and ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and invoicing standards.
• Support NPI launches, engineering changes, and supplier transitions, including PPAP completion.
• Analyze supplier performance, financial health, capacity, and operational metrics.
• Collaborate with regional and international teams to strengthen the supply chain and support manufacturing plants.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of automotive purchasing or strategic sourcing experience.
• Hands‑on experience with plastic injection molding or stamping.
• Proficiency in SAP and fluent English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related field.
• Willingness to travel 25–50% and possession of a valid U.S. travel visa.
