Agronomy Technical Sales Specialist – North Region (MDR)

About the role

The Agronomy Technical Sales Specialist (MDR) supports Bayer’s sales teams and farmers in the North region of Baja, Mexico. Acting as the technical expert, you will provide agronomic guidance, develop customized crop solutions, and help drive farm profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert agronomic advice to sales representatives, dealers and growers.
• Design and manage field plots for product testing and comparative studies.
• Assess crop health, recommend pest and disease management strategies, and handle product performance inquiries and claims.
• Deliver training sessions on best agricultural practices and promote the use of digital tools for data analysis.
• Collaborate with R&D, Marketing and Sales to develop go‑to‑market strategies and document market insights.
• Participate in local crop/seed associations, generate high‑quality data, and support demand‑creation activities.

Required profile

• Strong agronomic background with experience in open‑field and protected crops, especially tomatoes.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with sales, R&D and marketing teams.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with farmers, dealers and internal stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel locally and engage with industry boards.
