AI Architect

About the role

Change.org is looking for an AI Architect to lead the organization‑wide adoption of artificial intelligence. Reporting to the CTO, you will act as the technical authority for AI, shaping standards, architecture, and tooling across all engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve AI standards, architecture patterns, and tooling choices for the entire codebase.
• Own the AI‑Native Transformation roadmap, coordinating readiness, validation, and governance milestones with squad leads.
• Select, build, or oversee AI tooling, agent infrastructure, and evaluation pipelines needed by the organization.
• Establish guardrails and policy controls for safe AI adoption, balancing speed with security and quality.
• Author and enforce practical guidance (e.g., AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md) that engineers actually use.

Required profile

• Deep, hands‑on experience building with large language models (LLMs) and agentic systems.
• Proven track record designing and evolving software architecture at scale in large, mature codebases.
• Recent, real‑world shipping experience that earns the respect of senior engineers.

Required skills

• Fluency with AI/LLM systems and agentic architectures.
• Expertise in large‑scale software architecture and multi‑service environments.
• Strong engineering credibility with recent production deployments.
