AI Native Data Architect

About the role

We are looking for an AI‑Native Data Architect to lead the design, evolution and optimisation of our data architecture across the enterprise. The role will work closely with data engineers, analytics teams and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure data solutions that enable AI‑driven decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Define, evolve and document the organisation’s data architecture aligned with business and IT strategy.
• Design enterprise data models (conceptual, logical, physical) and establish naming conventions and modelling standards.
• Assess and recommend data technologies such as Data Lakes, Lakehouses, Data Mesh and Data Warehouses.
• Lead data governance, privacy, quality and metadata management initiatives.
• Architect data integration solutions (ETL/ELT, real‑time and batch pipelines) and promote data mesh principles.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering and 3+ years designing cloud‑based data architectures (Azure, AWS or GCP).
• 2+ years in data architecture, enterprise data modelling or data governance.

Required skills

• Data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical) and relational/non‑relational design.
• Experience with Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake Gen2, Purview, Unity Catalog, Cosmos DB.
• Data integration tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, API Management.
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Azure DevOps) and CI/CD (Git, Sonar).
• Programming languages: SQL, Python, Java, Scala, JSON.
