Analyst Mexican Tax

About the role

Magna is seeking a dedicated Analyst to support tax compliance and reporting for its Mexican entities. The role involves preparing tax returns, calculating provisions, and providing guidance on tax matters across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare annual income tax returns, including inflation adjustments, tax depreciation, and book‑to‑tax reconciliation.
• Calculate deferred tax provisions.
• Provide initial tax guidance to divisions on business transactions, notifications, and official information requests.
• Analyze tax implications of international transactions involving Mexican companies.
• Review federal monthly income tax installment calculations.
• Stay updated on tax reforms and trends.
• Maintain records of tax accounts such as CUCA, CUFIN, CUFIN‑RE, and tax value of shares.
• Support transfer pricing studies and assist in tax strategy planning and restructuring.
• Offer initial VAT guidance when required.

Required profile

• Professional degree in Accounting (CPA); Master’s in Taxes is a plus.
• Bilingual, with strong English proficiency.
• 4‑5 years of tax experience in a Big‑4, multinational, or reputable local accounting firm at a supervisory level.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work during busy seasons.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
