Analytics Application Developer

About the role

Oliver Wyman, a business of Marsh, is hiring an Analytics Application Developer in Mexico City. This is a full-stack software engineer position for someone with strong front-end experience and hands-on exposure to Python and React, who will build tools and platforms that let users interact with data in meaningful ways, bridging data analytics and software development.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of applications using MEAN/MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular or React, Node.js) and Python FastAPI.
• Develop and maintain applications that enable data exploration, visualization and reporting.
• Design and understand microservices and API-first development.
• Develop and deploy applications with a solid understanding of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Build clean, responsive and accessible UIs with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript and React, optimizing front-end performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience with demonstrable projects.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with Python, preferably with FastAPI, and with the MEAN or MERN stack.
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience building responsive, scalable, cross-browser-compatible interfaces.
• Preferred: experience with UI component libraries (Material UI, Hero UI) and with B2B SaaS or enterprise applications.

The role is hybrid: colleagues are expected to be in their local office or onsite with clients at least three days per week, with an anchor day each week for the team.
