API Developer

About the role

Zurich is seeking an API Developer to design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Microsoft Azure services. You will work within a global team that protects individuals and businesses, delivering secure and scalable solutions that enable confidence worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain RESTful APIs on Azure.
• Build and manage APIs using Azure API Management (APIM).
• Develop backend services with .NET.
• Implement authentication and authorization (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Azure AD).
• Integrate APIs with cloud and on‑premises systems.
• Ensure API performance, scalability, monitoring, and security best practices.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams.
• Write clean, maintainable, well‑documented code and resolve production issues.
