Application Engineer – Mechanical & CAD Design

About the role

The Application Engineer supports the design and modification of equipment for our industrial customers. You will work closely with sales, production, and engineering teams to deliver accurate drawings, specifications, and certifications that meet client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Select appropriate technology and model numbers to satisfy customer specifications.
• Create sketches, dimensional drawings, and new‑design CAD models for equipment modifications.
• Prepare purchase requisitions and customer‑requested certifications.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve application‑engineering issues.
• Recommend updates to standard drawings, procedures, and production processes.
• Support Project Quote Specialists and Customer Support Advocates.
• Provide guidance and training to the Application Engineering team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in application engineering within a related industry.
• Strong ability to read specifications, data sheets, and engineering drawings.
• Advanced PC proficiency and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
• Valid passport for travel to the United States.
• Bilingual English‑Spanish communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks or comparable CAD software.
• Understanding of piping industry standards, rules, and regulations.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and complex mechanical systems.
• Advanced computer skills (Windows, MS Office, CAD environments).
