Assistant Cost Manager – Industrial & Data Center Projects

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Assistant Cost Manager to join its talent pool for industrial and data‑center construction projects. You will support cost estimation, budgeting and financial reporting across all design phases, working closely with project teams and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimations for all design phases and develop primary project budgets.
• Monitor, control and prepare valuations, including weekly progress and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Participate in value‑engineering sessions and analyse change orders.
• Collect market cost data, support quotation processes and quantify materials and labour.
• Produce cost‑benefit analyses and review budgets after design package issuance.
• Collaborate on recommendation reports and attend weekly project and departmental meetings.

Required profile

• Degree‑qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or Architecture.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost management or quantity surveying roles.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Fluent in English.
