Assistant Visual Merchandising Specialist

About the role

The Assistant Visual Merchandising role supports Carter’s retail brands in maintaining consistent visual standards across stores. You will work closely with the Visual Merchandising Manager and store teams to design, implement, and monitor visual presentations that reflect brand identity.

Key responsibilities

• Design visual tools and guidelines to help store teams uphold brand standards.
• Oversee in‑store execution, ensuring compliance with visual guidelines.
• Develop and execute visual presentations for product launches, campaigns, and corporate events.
• Visit stores for new openings, special projects, or visual merchandising training.
• Support weekly marketing meetings to align visual objectives and priorities.
• Monitor store execution from a visual perspective and recommend adjustments.
• Collaborate on proposals, initiatives, and visual merchandising projects.
• Organize and maintain digital files related to visual processes.
• Prepare weekly competitive reports to identify trends and opportunities.
• Document in‑store visual implementations with photos and written evaluations.
• Create training materials such as manuals, visual guides, and videos.
• Track visual requests and weekly visual reports with the Operations team.

Required profile

• Experience or strong interest in visual merchandising within a retail environment.
• Ability to travel to multiple store locations as needed.
• Excellent communication skills for delivering visual strategies to store teams.
• Strong organizational abilities to manage digital assets and reporting.
