Associate Buyer – Purchasing Team (On‑Site, Mexico City)

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Buyer to join our purchasing team in Mexico City. The role supports supply chain and procurement operations for a leading quick‑service restaurant brand, ensuring product availability at competitive costs.

Key responsibilities

• Support purchasing and supply chain operations to ensure continuous product availability at competitive costs.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, distributors, bakeries, and franchise partners.
• Conduct market and industry research to identify trends, cost drivers, and sourcing opportunities.
• Monitor supplier performance, inventory levels, production schedules, and pricing compliance.
• Support new product launches, promotional activities, and supply chain initiatives.
• Analyze data and generate reports to support purchasing decisions and business strategy.
• Coordinate communications between internal stakeholders, suppliers, distributors, and restaurant operators.
• Assist in resolving supply chain disruptions, inventory shortages, and operational challenges.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2–3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, sourcing, category management, or vendor management.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams.
• Must be based in Mexico.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
