Associate Counsel

About the role

Uber is seeking a Litigation Associate Counsel to lead and support a broad portfolio of litigation, regulatory and dispute‑resolution matters across Mexico. The role works closely with business units, legal teams and cross‑functional partners to develop strategies that protect and advance Uber’s operations in dynamic markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop litigation strategies, assess legal risks and advise business and legal leadership.
• Support responses to regulatory investigations, government inquiries and enforcement actions.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to identify litigation trends, implement risk‑mitigation measures and improve operational processes.
• Prepare legal analyses, case updates and executive‑level communications on significant disputes and litigation risks.
• Manage relationships with outside counsel across multiple jurisdictions.

Required profile

• Law degree and admission to practice law in Mexico.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in‑house or at a law firm.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English.
• Experience handling complex commercial, civil, administrative, regulatory or constitutional litigation.
• Proven ability to balance legal risk with business objectives and provide practical, solutions‑oriented advice.
• Excellent project‑management skills with the capacity to handle multiple matters in a fast‑paced environment.
