About the role

This internship offers a student the chance to develop practical skills in indirect procurement within a global chemicals company. You will support the purchasing team by handling operational tasks, interacting with internal stakeholders, and using BASF’s digital procurement platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain supplier records and ensure proper documentation.
• Manage quotation requests, simple tender processes, and follow‑up with suppliers.
• Use internal tools such as Mercanis, SharePoint, Icertis and SAP to track purchasing activities.
• Collaborate with internal business partners to understand their goods and services needs.

Required profile

• Active university student (4th semester or later) in Engineering, Business, International Trade, or related fields.
• Current proof of enrollment.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Familiarity with SAP.
• Experience with SharePoint.
• Knowledge of Icertis.
• Use of Mercanis platform.

What we offer

• Monthly stipend of $10,470 MXN.
• Six‑hour workday, Monday to Friday.
