Business Developer

About the role

Medace is looking for an ambitious, energetic self‑starter to drive new business in the Life Sciences sector across Europe. You will leverage your existing network, online strategies and event participation to identify qualified opportunities and translate client needs into compelling proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Identify partnership opportunities, present Medace to potential clients and conduct follow‑up calls after meetings and site visits.
• Develop new relationships to expand the business and support company growth.
• Handle incoming client requests, prepare cost indications, quotations and contracts, and ensure timely follow‑up.
• Maintain existing accounts in close collaboration with account managers.
• Work with internal teams to align service offerings with available resources.
• Support B2B marketing activities, attend conferences and networking events.

Required profile

• At least a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with a background in Life Sciences.
• 3‑4 years of business development experience in the Life Sciences industry.
• Extensive network in the Benelux/Europe, especially with academic institutes and startups.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written); additional German or French is a plus.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Goal‑oriented, detail‑focused and able to work under pressure.
