Business Development – Sustainable Mobility

About the role

AVL is seeking a Business Development professional to identify and grow new opportunities in sustainable mobility, electrification and digitalisation for its customers in Mexico. The role will work closely with the local sales team and global engineering groups to translate market trends into concrete projects.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and develop business opportunities aligned with AVL’s strategic focus areas.
• Build and maintain relationships with OEMs, Tier‑1 suppliers and other mobility stakeholders.
• Analyse market trends such as e‑mobility, hydrogen, ADAS, software‑defined vehicles and cybersecurity.
• Define value propositions and integrated solutions covering engineering, testing, simulation and digital services.
• Manage the commercial pipeline, qualify opportunities and support conversion.
• Collaborate with engineering, product and operations teams to create competitive offers.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals and participate in contract negotiations.
• Conduct competitor and market analysis to anticipate industry developments.
• Contribute to growth strategies, including expansion into new markets or segments.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics or Automotive Engineering.
• Recent graduate or early‑career professional.
• Strong interest in business development, mobility and innovation.
• Analytical mindset with commercial orientation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent English (mandatory); German is a plus.
