Butler Manager

About the role

The Butler Manager leads a dedicated team of butlers to deliver premium, personalized service to guests in luxury hospitality settings such as hotels, resorts or cruise ships. This role combines hands‑on service delivery with coaching, training and performance management to uphold brand standards of excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all guest orders, requests and enquiries are fulfilled promptly and to the highest standard.
• Conduct embarkation inspections of VIP suites and oversee in‑suite arrival procedures.
• Lead, coach, train and develop the Butler Team, fostering a culture of superior service.
• Mentor the Senior Butler to prepare for future managerial duties.
• Monitor and achieve brand‑defined performance targets and KPIs for the team.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of Butler or guest‑facing experience in a luxury hotel, resort or cruise line.
• Professional Butler or luxury service certification (e.g., International Butler Academy) is an advantage.
• Previous shipboard experience highly preferred.
• Fluent English (verbal and written); additional languages such as French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Mandarin, Arabic or Japanese are assets.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities to manage a culturally diverse workforce.
