Central Controller

About the role

The Central Controller acts as the primary finance business partner for Forvia's purchasing organization, supporting multiple manufacturing plants. The role ensures that purchasing decisions align with financial objectives while driving cost improvements and margin enhancement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead finance partnership with purchasing, providing guidance on negotiations and procurement strategies.
• Monitor and analyse direct material spend, validate savings initiatives, and track productivity programs.
• Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and strategic planning for material costs.
• Prepare monthly executive reports on material cost performance, savings, inflation impacts, and supplier risks.
• Monitor commodity market trends, quantify financial impacts, and develop inflation scenario analyses.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procurement procedures, and internal controls; support audit requirements.
• Collaborate with plant controllers, purchasing directors, operations, and supply‑chain teams to standardise financial metrics.

Required profile

• Finance professional with experience supporting purchasing functions in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to analyse material cost variances, manage budgets, and produce executive‑level reporting.
• Strong understanding of commodity markets, inflation effects, and cost‑recovery mechanisms.
• Experience ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit processes.
