Civil/Structural Manager

About the role

The Civil/Structural Manager will support the Senior Project Manager (CMR) in delivering construction projects on time, within scope, and to technical standards. Based in Obregón, Sonora, the role combines technical expertise with leadership to oversee civil and structural aspects of the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Sr. Project Manager‑CMR by supervising progress, reporting trends, and ensuring delivery aligns with civil and structural standards.
• Help establish project management standards and metrics for consistent use across the project.
• Identify and resolve execution issues with the General Contractor, understanding the project organization.
• Monitor schedule, budget, and cash‑flow baselines, flagging savings or overruns.
• Manage issue, risk, and action registries, escalating to the Sr. Project Manager‑CMR for action plans.
• Implement approved field actions and workarounds to mitigate project risks.
• Maintain on‑site reports and a local documentation repository, including plans, reports, and project documents.
• Lead by example, ensuring the CBI philosophy is followed throughout the company.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• 15 years of overall experience with 10‑13 years in management roles.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving, analytical capabilities, self‑driven attitude, teamwork, and vision.
