Clinical Nurse – Critical Care Specialty Team (Part-Time)

About the role

The Clinical Nurse C‑CCST joins the East Campus Hospital’s Nursing Administration team in a large tertiary academic medical center. This part‑time position supports critical‑care and emergency patients under the direction of a board‑certified anesthesiologist and patient‑care managers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct critical‑care nursing, including sedation and patient transport, in a Level I Trauma Center environment.
• Collaborate with medical director, patient‑care manager and interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, evidence‑based care.
• Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards and department protocols.
• Adapt nursing practice to a variety of clinical settings and confined spaces.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Minimum three years of critical‑care or emergency nursing experience.
• Active California RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications (or obtain within introductory period).
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently; Spanish preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced competencies in critical care, sedation and patient transport.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Trauma nursing certification.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation requirements.
