Commercial Counsel

About the role

AlertMedia is looking for a Commercial Counsel to support its mission of saving lives by managing a high volume of technology‑focused commercial agreements. The attorney will work across the company to draft, review and negotiate contracts with customers, vendors and strategic partners, ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk appetite.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate SaaS subscription agreements, master service agreements, data processing agreements, NDAs, procurement and vendor contracts.
• Operate within an SLA‑driven contracting environment while balancing legal risk and business goals.
• Leverage AI‑enabled legal tools and contract lifecycle management systems to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline contracting workflows.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Deal Desk, Procurement and Executive leadership to align contract terms with strategic priorities.

Required profile

• Business‑oriented attorney with strong stakeholder focus and ability to meet timing expectations.
• Risk‑aware yet pragmatic, able to balance detailed analysis with big‑picture thinking.
• Comfortable handling fast‑moving information and responding quickly.
• Team player and consultant who works closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Experience negotiating high‑volume commercial contracts, especially SaaS and technology agreements.
• Familiarity with AI‑enabled legal tools and contract lifecycle management platforms.
• Strong judgment in assessing and mitigating legal risk.
