Commercial Operations Consultant

About the role

TransUnion is seeking a Commercial Operations Consultant to partner with the Chief Revenue Officer, Sales Leadership, and Finance teams. You will drive data‑driven decision‑making, improve pipeline governance, and support sustainable revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define, govern, and continuously improve pipeline structure, sales stages, and forecasting methodologies.
• Develop, consolidate, and analyze weekly and monthly forecasts, delivering strategic insights and scenario‑based recommendations.
• Translate sales targets and financial objectives into operational metrics, dashboards, and management insights.
• Ensure data quality and governance within Salesforce, maintaining pipeline hygiene and forecast accuracy.
• Provide leadership with forward‑looking insights to anticipate risks and optimize performance.
• Guide and mentor analysts, establishing standards and best practices for insight generation and reporting.
• Consult internal stakeholders using Salesforce and other systems to identify recurring issues and implement scalable solutions.
• Lead or participate in process‑improvement initiatives focused on sales operations, forecasting, reporting, and commercial effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of experience in Sales Operations, Business Operations, Commercial Analytics, or related functions.
• Proven experience partnering with Sales Leadership and Finance to drive forecasting accuracy and revenue planning.
• Experience managing or mentoring junior team members.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to understand commercial context and recommend value‑added solutions.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (macros, complex formulas, automations, advanced reporting).
• Power BI or similar business intelligence and analytics platform.
• Hands‑on experience with Salesforce CRM for reporting, pipeline management, and data governance.
