Commissioning Resource (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Resource to support a leading IT and industrial automation company across Latin America. The position is fully remote and involves configuring, testing, and optimizing control systems for power plant and turbine monitoring projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform site surveys, review network architecture, and provide design improvement recommendations.
• Configure turbine controller tags in OSM using Cimplicity/WST and ensure data flow to central historian servers.
• Program Allen‑Bradley PLCs (RSLogix5, RSLogix500, RSLogix5000, PicoSoft 6) and develop functional design specifications, FAT and SAT documentation.
• Set up and maintain Windows‑based servers (Windows 2019, Windows 10) and virtual machines.
• Manage SQL Server, historian, PI, and OPC databases, and integrate SCADA platforms (Proficy, Cimplicity, Control ST).
• Prepare instrumentation engineering deliverables, including datasheets, cable schedules, and termination details.

Required profile

• 5‑10+ years of experience with Windows operating systems, virtual machine configuration, and industrial network equipment.
• Proven background in PLC/SCADA commissioning for power plant automation.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, especially on‑site.
• Excellent communication in English and Spanish (conversational level required).
• Ability to work independently in a matrixed, multi‑site environment.
