Continuous Improvement Director

About the role

The Continuous Improvement Director will lead LEGO’s Americas Manufacturing site in embedding a sustainable continuous improvement mindset, aligning local initiatives with the global LEGO Continuous Improvement (LCI) strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a 3‑ to 5‑year Continuous Improvement roadmap aligned with site operational strategies.
• Lead the implementation of the site’s strategy to synchronize global operations direction with local activation plans.
• Drive P&L impact by improving operational efficiency and championing Lean, Six Sigma, and automation initiatives.
• Coach senior and middle leadership to strengthen continuous improvement capabilities and sustain the LEGO Continuous Improvement Assessment model.
• Develop KPIs, governance structures, and data‑driven systems to track progress and prioritize projects.
• Maintain the global Continuous Improvement knowledge base and ensure its application on site.
• Facilitate frontline engagement through Gemba walks, Kaizen events, and workshops.
• Participate in global Continuous Improvement networks, benchmarking, and best‑practice exchanges.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Lean, OPEX, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma within a manufacturing environment.
• Background in automation and digitization of manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrated ability to work at senior leadership level and influence strategic decisions.
• Track record of delivering measurable P&L impact through improvement initiatives.
• Experience leading manufacturing excellence systems and participating in global networks.
