Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Controller to lead and scale our multi‑jurisdictional financial operations as we expand across Mexico. The role combines financial close, compliance and process automation in a fast‑growing fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, including multi‑entity consolidations and preparation of financial statements.
• Coordinate with external accountants and auditors for accounting, tax filings and audit support.
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and oversee tax and regulatory filings.
• Lead the implementation and configuration of a group‑wide ERP system, including chart of accounts set‑up and data flows.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable invoice processing and collaborate with Treasury for payments.
• Identify automation opportunities and drive continuous improvement of accounting processes.
• Work closely with Treasury, FP&A and other functions to align reporting and compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing financial operations in multiple regulatory environments.
• Strong knowledge of multi‑entity consolidation, IFRS, GAAP and international compliance.
• Ability to lead end‑to‑end close cycles in a high‑growth fintech setting.
• Analytical mindset comfortable with fast‑paced, uncertain environments.
• Experience with SQL tools for reporting and analysis.
