About the role
Dematic is seeking a Controls Engineer to join its Technical Support team within Customer Service. The role involves remote assistance to customers in the material handling industry, using schematics and PLC logic to diagnose and resolve issues.
Key responsibilities
- Support complex systems that integrate hardware and software.
- Troubleshoot material specifications, schematics, and provide follow‑up actions.
- Recommend productivity improvements, cost reductions, and enhancements to customer satisfaction.
- Travel 10‑20% to customer sites, including occasional weekends and overtime.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3‑5 years of customer service support experience in a related field.
- Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work independently.
Required skills
- Allen Bradley Logix PLC platform.
- Controls hardware troubleshooting.
- Electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience with Siemens and Modicon PLCs (a plus).
