Cost Accountant

About the role

Eaton’s AER FED Fluid Electrical Distribution division is looking for a Cost Accountant to support its manufacturing finance team. The role focuses on processing AP invoices, month‑end accruals, inventory reconciliation and cost analysis within the Oracle ERP environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process AP invoices for outside vendors and intercompany for MEX ledgers.
• Prepare month‑end accruals, balance‑sheet reconciliations and related reporting.
• Measure and explain variances (PPV, scrap, material) and implement controls to prevent recurrence.
• Reconcile perpetual inventory records to the General Ledger.
• Review routers and BOMs for accuracy and update standard costs according to Eaton Financial Policy.
• Support annual profit planning with inventory and cost‑of‑sales forecasts.
• Conduct special projects assigned by the Controller and document processes.
• Participate in the annual physical inventory and maintain the standard cost system.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of general accounting experience, preferably in AP/AR and expenses within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems.
• Strong analytical abilities and good communication skills.
• Intermediate English proficiency.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
