Cost Accountant

About the role

The Cost Accountant is responsible for preparing income and balance sheets, consolidated financial statements, and operating budgets. The role leads the development and implementation of internal control systems, coordinates accounting activities across departments and locations, and may supervise junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, forecasts and cost reports.
• Develop, implement and monitor internal control systems.
• Coordinate accounting matters with other departments and multiple locations.
• Plan, schedule and supervise complex assignments in cost accounting, tax, budgeting and finance.
• Recommend and implement procedural changes, evaluate personnel performance and ensure quality controls.

Required profile

• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Self‑motivated with strong planning and supervisory abilities.
• Experience in managing complex cost‑accounting projects and leading teams.
• Ability to interpret and apply organizational policies, FASB pronouncements and budgeting guidelines.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
