Cost Accounting Intern – Production Cost Analysis

About the role

We are looking for a Cost Accounting Intern to join Flex’s Aguascalientes site. The intern will support the Cost Department by gathering and analysing production cost data, preparing cost reports and assisting with month‑end activities. This position offers hands‑on experience in manufacturing cost accounting while studying accounting or finance.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, analyse and validate information related to production costs.
• Assist in preparing standard and actual cost reports.
• Participate in variance analysis between standard and actual costs.
• Support inventory reviews, adjustments and basic reconciliations.
• Perform control and follow‑up tasks on financial data under supervision.
• Contribute to special projects and month‑end closing activities for the Cost Department.

Required profile

• Active student of Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of accounting and cost concepts.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, charts, basic functions).
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and teamwork orientation.
• Basic to intermediate English communication skills.
