Cost Accounting Senior Manager

About the role

The Cost Accounting Senior Manager will lead the development and maintenance of accounting and operational processes related to inventory management and costing. This role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring accurate cost reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update documentation for inventory management and costing processes.
• Plan, coordinate, and develop full spending and material variance budgets for manufacturing operations.
• Lead budget review presentations and justification for manufacturing operations.
• Support the Finance Director in budget preparation for large manufacturing sites (over 1,000 employees).
• Lead division finance navigation for monthly PPV variances, forecasts, and budgets in coordination with Division Procurement VP.
• Develop and maintain standard costing, including variance analysis and controls for absorption and COGS.
• Review, analyze, and forecast financial absorption for production operations.
• Ensure cost accuracy of reports and support internal and external audits.
• Support annual physical inventory, track cycle count programs, and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Perform compare‑vs‑buy analysis, including manufacturing transfers and capability analysis.

Required profile

• Professional career completed in Finance, Accounting, Tax, or Business Administration.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• 7+ years of experience in a similar position within the manufacturing industry.
• 3‑5 years of P&L management experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with Oracle and SAP systems.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and inventory control.
