Cost Controller – FPSO Operations (Kan)

About the role

The Cost Controller will ensure accurate cost tracking and control of project expenditures related to FPSO operations in the Kan function, supporting budgeting, financial planning and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Execute cost tracking and reporting mechanisms for FPSO operations in Mexico.
• Analyse variances between actual and budgeted costs and report significant issues to management.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, maintaining accurate and timely information.
• Prepare monthly accruals and support invoicing processing.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Collaborate with project teams and other departments to forecast, monitor and report cost performance.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of cost‑control systems and procedures.
• Carry out all activities safely, complying with regulatory requirements, Harbour Energy HSES procedures and ethics policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cost control and financial reporting within oil & gas or similar industrial projects.
• Ability to analyse cost variances and present findings to management.
• Strong knowledge of financial policies, budgeting and accrual processes.
• Familiarity with safety, regulatory and ethics compliance requirements.
• Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary project teams.
