Customer Project Manager

About the role

Bosch is seeking a Customer Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end customer projects based on a Project Management Plan (PMP). You will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects while ensuring alignment with customer expectations and internal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, plan and execute projects from start (QGC0) to closing (QGC5) following PMP.
• Report progress, identify required changes, and implement them.
• Manage monetary risk in USD and develop avoidance/reduction strategies.
• Coordinate communication, escalation and crisis management with internal/external partners and the customer account.
• Control product cost, budget planning and overall project profitability.
• Set up, modify and close MCR projects; lead Closure Quality Gate meetings.
• Oversee the entire project team, delegate tasks and approve product releases.
• Make project‑relevant decisions, prioritize work, and resolve disagreements within the team.
• Handle purchase orders, budget adjustments and resource changes.
• Approve project‑related Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of engineering experience and 5 years of project‑management experience.
• Proven background in production‑related areas such as Engineering, Quality, Logistics or Manufacturing.
• At least 3 years of experience in the automotive sector; VW experience is a plus.
