Cybersecurity Engineer I

About the role

As a Cybersecurity Engineer I at McDonalds, you will join a global team responsible for building and modernising enterprise applications that support the Global Account Management platform. You will work with experienced engineers to develop secure, scalable, and maintainable software while gaining exposure to both legacy and modern .NET technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise applications using C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• Implement new features, enhancements, and bug fixes under senior guidance.
• Design, build, and support RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Contribute to the migration and modernisation of applications built on .NET Framework 4.8, ASP.NET MVC, and newer .NET versions (8/10).
• Create user interfaces with Razor Pages, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
• Write clean, well‑tested code following established engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot application issues and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, QA Engineers, Architects, and other Software Engineers across global teams.
• Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
