Cybersecurity Systems Engineer

About the role

Join the Software team of ZF's Chassis Solutions Division in Monterrey as a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer. You will help define and implement cybersecurity requirements for ZF’s braking and steering products, ensuring safety throughout the vehicle lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Derive cybersecurity system requirement specifications and architecture for braking and steering solutions.
• Develop and document cybersecurity concepts aligned with customer needs.
• Perform vulnerability analyses and Threat Analysis and Risk Assessments (TARA).
• Collaborate with customers to agree on requirements, technical solutions, risk assessments, and mitigations.
• Work closely with software, hardware, testing, and production teams to ensure a shared understanding of cyber threats and smooth implementation.
• Coordinate with the global cybersecurity organization and ZF Cybersecurity core team.

Required profile

• MS in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of automotive embedded systems and their interactions across production, operation, maintenance, and post‑SOP support.
• Excellent communication, moderation, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Analytical mindset for working with requirements, architectures, and stakeholder negotiations.
