Design and Release Engineer – Chassis (Junior)

About the role

The Design and Release Engineer – Chassis (Junior) will be responsible for leading and executing the design, analysis and release of steering, brake or suspension components used in automotive vehicles. Working within a cross‑functional engineering team, the role ensures that all designs comply with safety, performance and quality standards while supporting the overall vehicle development program.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3‑D models and engineering drawings for steering systems, brake components or suspension parts, covering items such as steering boxes, columns, tie rods and power‑steering mechanisms.
• Conduct finite‑element analysis, durability tests and functional simulations to validate structural integrity and performance under real‑world conditions.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and manufacturing engineers to integrate components into vehicle platforms and resolve cross‑disciplinary issues.
• Prepare technical documentation, design reports and release packages for internal review and supplier hand‑over.
• Support prototype build, testing activities and iterative design improvements based on test results.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, electro‑mechanical, aerospace engineering or a related discipline.
• 1‑3 years of hands‑on experience in automotive component design at a junior level.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret test data and simulation results.
• Advanced conversational English to communicate effectively with global teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools such as Siemens NX, CATIA or Creo.
• Experience with engineering analysis software (e.g., FEA) is beneficial.
