Design & Release Engineer – Chassis Structures & Frames

About the role

The Design & Release Engineer (DRE) will lead the design, validation and release of chassis and frame components for automotive projects. You will work across concept, development and launch phases, ensuring high‑quality, cost‑effective solutions that meet functional and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, validate and release automotive chassis and frame products.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including suppliers, engineering, and quality, to study functionality and implement engineering changes.
• Provide 3D and 2D development support for components.
• Interact with global teams to improve vehicle design efficiency while meeting quality, cost and functionality targets.
• Execute GD&T, DFMEA, DVP&R and root‑cause analysis.
• Participate in planning discussions, reduction of dangerous mechanical conditions and benchmarking.
• Develop and validate prototypes or components.
• Create and maintain Bill of Materials.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Automotive, Structural or related engineering.
• 1–5 years of experience designing chassis, cradles, cross‑members, frames or sub‑frames.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes for the listed components.
• Proficiency in advanced English communication.

• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
• Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R).
• Root‑cause analysis.
• CAD systems: NX/Teamcenter and Catia.
• Advanced English language proficiency.
