Diagnostics Lead

About the role

The Diagnostic Lead ensures the timely delivery and availability of high‑quality companion diagnostics and testing solutions to support optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey. Based in Mexico City, this role works closely with therapeutic area stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and market access teams to shape diagnostic strategies for current and future AstraZeneca products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate and implement the national diagnostic strategy for existing and pipeline products.
• Generate diagnostics‑related insights to inform brand strategy and tactical plans.
• Monitor diagnostic brand performance and propose improvement initiatives.
• Ensure companion diagnostics excellence for product launches, including market readiness assessments.
• Support in‑market registration and regulatory approval of companion diagnostics.
• Identify barriers in the testing landscape and collaborate with external partners to develop solutions.
• Work with Pricing and Market Access to explore innovative reimbursement approaches.

Required profile

• Deep scientific understanding of diagnostic tests and clinical operational pathways.
• Experience developing and executing diagnostic strategies in a pharmaceutical environment.
• Proven ability to build long‑term partnerships with therapeutic area stakeholders and decision‑makers.
• Strong analytical mindset to translate diagnostic data into actionable brand insights.
