Director, Business Development – Cardholder Benefits (LAC)

About the role

We are looking for a commercially driven Director to lead the commercialization of Mastercard’s Cardholder Benefits across the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region. The role will expand revenue opportunities, manage existing programs and drive new business with issuers, partners and emerging segments.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute the commercial strategy to protect and renew existing cardholder benefit programs, ensuring recurring revenue.
• Lead negotiations, pricing frameworks and renewal cycles across the client portfolio.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of new sales opportunities within existing clients and new market segments.
• Identify and mitigate threats to current products or revenue.
• Partner with sales and account teams to cross‑sell and upsell, and develop compelling business narratives.
• Lead end‑to‑end RFP processes for the region, from assessment to proposal development.
• Act as the central bridge between Sales, Accounts, Product and Operations to ensure seamless execution of commercialization strategies.
• Translate client insights and market needs into commercial requirements for product and go‑to‑market teams.

Required profile

• Proven senior commercial leadership experience in payments, financial services or related sectors.
• Strong track record of driving revenue growth and managing large, complex client portfolios.
• Excellent negotiation, pricing and renewal management skills.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence product and operations teams.
• Strategic thinker with a results‑oriented mindset.
