Director of Engineering

About the role

Join the launch team of Park Hyatt Mexico City in Polanco and lead all engineering functions for this ultra‑luxury property. You will be responsible for delivering a world‑class guest experience through safe, efficient and sustainable building operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all engineering operations, including building maintenance, safety, energy management and capital projects.
• Ensure compliance with Hyatt brand standards, local regulations and guest expectations.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and energy‑saving initiatives.
• Manage capital improvement projects from planning through execution.
• Lead, coach and develop a skilled engineering team to achieve operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Director of Engineering in a luxury or ultra‑luxury hotel, preferably in a pre‑opening environment.
• Proven leadership, communication and presentation abilities.
• Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
