Director of Quality in Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a senior leader to define and execute the Quality strategy across our manufacturing plants and supply‑chain network. The role ensures global standards, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement, turning quality into a competitive advantage for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end implementation of the Quality strategy across multiple sites.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, international certifications (GFSI, FSSC 22000, ISO 9001/22000) and customer expectations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, inspections and certification processes.
• Analyse performance indicators and KPIs to identify risks, trends and improvement opportunities.
• Design and drive data‑driven corrective and preventive actions.
• Champion continuous‑improvement programmes such as Lean, IWS and Six Sigma.
• Develop and coach senior Quality leaders, building inclusive high‑performing teams.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, R&D and Commercial functions.
• Serve as primary liaison with regulatory authorities, certification bodies and external laboratories.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Food or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 20+ years of progressive leadership experience in Quality within the food and/or beverage industry.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO 9001/22000 and GFSI standards.
• Proven track record of leading large, multi‑site Quality organisations.
