Distribution Specialist

About the role

The Distribution Specialist is responsible for managing the end‑to‑end shipping process, ensuring that product lists are generated accurately and that deliveries reach customers on time. This role supports both domestic and international shipments while maintaining inventory integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Program and generate product shipping lists based on customer orders.
• Run shipping lists for domestic and international shipments and issue orders to meet delivery schedules.
• Monitor discrepancies, delivery problems, and inventory balances, reporting missed shipments weekly.
• Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and maintain records of quantity, type, and value of stocked materials.
• Compare physical inventories with office records and compute figures from sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices.
• Compile receipt and disbursement information for materials and equipment.
• Analyze and report key process metrics such as On‑Time Delivery and Ship Complete.
• Select freight routings based on domestic requirements or customer requests.
• Research and resolve lost or damaged freight.
• Assist with inventory control, conduct cycle counts, and prepare for physical inventories.
• Perform other related duties as required.
