Documentation & Customer Expert – Mexico City

About the role

Pacific International Lines (PIL) is seeking a detail‑oriented Documentation & Customer Expert to join its Mexico City team. You will be the primary point of contact for export and import shipments, ensuring that all documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with customs regulations while delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all documentation for export and import processes, including manifests, corrections, retransmissions, and cargo releases.
• Coordinate with ports, warehouses, shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs authorities, and shared service centers to ensure smooth shipment flow.
• Guarantee timely submission of customs references and adherence to cut‑off dates for vessel arrivals, departures, and closures.
• Oversee invoicing of charges, vessel closure, and manifest completion.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of export and import customs requirements and ensure full compliance.
• Monitor and resolve shipment exceptions in the LMS system and track outstanding revenue to ensure accurate billing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in customer service within the shipping or logistics industry.
• Hands‑on experience with sea‑shipping documentation and customs procedures.
