Engagement Manager - Finance and Risk, Mexico City

About the role

Oliver Wyman's Finance and Risk practice, part of its Financial Services Group, is looking for Engagement Managers in Mexico City. The practice advises financial institutions on adapting risk management strategies to changing markets, emerging risks and higher regulatory expectations, with projects focused on CFO, CRO and Board agendas. Engagement Managers lead consulting teams alongside clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead teams of consultants on Finance and Risk topics, developing hypotheses, collecting data, building models, researching and surfacing insights
• Synthesize findings into written presentations and discuss them with clients and stakeholders
• Guide the team through client interviews, insight derivation and deliverable production
• Support Partners in project execution through work planning, workflow management and coaching junior team members
• Manage client relationships and networks, present to senior audiences and work with senior and mid-level clients
• Communicate issues and solutions clearly, verbally and in writing

Required profile

• 6-10 years of consulting and/or industry experience, preferably at a top-tier consulting firm or financial services institution
• At least 4 years of in-depth Finance and Risk experience with a focus on Mexico (Spanish-speaking Latin America experience encouraged but not required)
• Proven track record of leading teams and delivering results in fast-paced environments
• Strong strategic problem-solving and analytical skills, and outstanding written and verbal communication in Spanish and English
• Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program
• Willingness to travel, including to the US (especially New York), and to work with multicultural teams
• Unrestricted Mexico work authorization; sponsorship is not offered
