Engineering Technician

About the role

The Engineering Technician supports manufacturing operations by performing technical duties such as experimental procedures, data collection, and analysis. The role bridges the gap between engineering design and production, helping to resolve customer complaints, improve yields, and implement cost‑reduction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Train and coach new engineering personnel on equipment and processes.
• Interpret equipment data to diagnose and solve process issues.
• Collaborate with product innovation and cost‑reduction teams.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process problems, guiding front‑line staff on safety and SOP compliance.
• Assist engineers in testing, integration, and documentation of new equipment.
• Lead equipment projects aimed at reducing downtime, defects, and costs while increasing yields.
• Participate in the development of new processes or machines and produce related documentation.

Required profile

• Associate degree in a technical field or strong math/science background.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints or technical drawings.
• Experience in technician or operator roles that provide equipment and process knowledge.
• Desired: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• Project management experience and familiarity with Lean fundamentals.
• Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification.
• Experience with PEx tools and prior leadership opportunities.
