Field Service Technician I – Entry Level

About the role

The Field Service Technician I is an entry‑level position focused on supporting the installation, maintenance, and repair of TARGAN systems. Working under senior technicians and Regional Service Managers, you will develop core technical abilities while providing both on‑site and remote assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of TARGAN equipment.
• Support senior and intermediate technicians during service visits.
• Follow standard troubleshooting procedures and escalation paths.
• Complete Service Request Orders (SROs) with accurate documentation.
• Maintain tools, adhere to safety policies, and participate in travel schedules.

Required profile

• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.
• Strong desire to learn technical skills and follow established processes.
• Professional demeanor when interacting with customers.
• Willingness to work both on‑site and remotely.

Required skills

• Mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting.
• Understanding of PLC‑controlled systems and sensor diagnostics (photo eyes, proximity switches, temperature, pressure).
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and machine drawings.
• Experience using laptops/tablets and diagnostic software for equipment interfacing and service reporting.
