Field Support Engineer – Hands‑on Data Center Support

About the role

Infosys is looking for a Field Support Engineer to provide hands‑on assistance for data‑center infrastructure in Mexico City. The role involves on‑site support of servers, storage, networking and end‑user equipment, ensuring high availability and compliance with service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hands‑and‑feet support for compute, storage, backup and network devices, including reboot, console access, cable/SFP changes and rack/stack operations.
• Install, configure and maintain desktop computers, peripherals and software according to established standards.
• Execute IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) services for IT assets and support mobile phones, scanners and printers.
• Provide L1 network troubleshooting for LAN connectivity and assist backend teams with server and application issues.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical problems and manage labeling, mounting and movement of servers and racks.
• Maintain IT inventory, support procurement activities and document incidents for the knowledge base.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and ability to work under defined SLA targets.
• Experience with DHCP, DNS and Office 365 environments.
• Familiarity with Mac devices and Windows desktop support.
