Finance Director

About the role

The Finance Director leads the financial management and controllership of Kipling School, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and alignment with strategic priorities. The role works closely with the School Leadership Team and Group Finance to provide insight for decision‑making and long‑term sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close, produce timely management accounts, financial statements and performance reports.
• Oversee statutory accounts in compliance with local GAAP, IFRS and Group policies.
• Manage internal and external audit processes, including planning, documentation and follow‑up.
• Prepare and review key financial reports such as cash‑flow, capex, KPIs and variance analyses.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and multi‑year financial planning aligned with strategic goals.
• Implement and maintain robust financial controls, safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee cash‑flow planning, working‑capital management and liquidity.
• Lead cost‑optimization, vendor and contract management, tax compliance and working‑capital initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading finance functions in a complex organization.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP and audit standards.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret financial performance and identify risks and opportunities.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
