Finance Director – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

The Finance Director will lead financial operations for Hutchinson’s manufacturing sites in Michigan and Mexico. Reporting to the Executive Vice President, North America, this senior professional will drive cash management, revenue analysis, production standards, and industrial performance reporting across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee cash flow management, forecasting and working‑capital analysis, including inventory, customer and supplier payment terms.
• Analyze revenue streams and gross‑margin performance, accounting for price changes, exchange‑rate impacts, tooling depreciation and R&D costs.
• Collaborate with production teams to set and monitor production standards, ensuring product profitability and accurate budgeting.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive industrial performance reporting, covering labor, material and other direct cost variances.
• Lead inventory‑optimization initiatives to reduce excess and obsolete stock while guaranteeing supply continuity.
• Monitor fixed‑cost structures and ensure alignment with budgetary targets.

• Seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to optimize profitability, manage fixed costs and enhance inventory reliability.
• Strong analytical mindset with a results‑driven approach to budgeting and forecasting.
• Excellent communication skills to partner with production, operations and executive leadership.
