Financial Analyst – Global Reporting & Cost Management

About the role

The Financial Analyst will support global reporting, budgeting, forecasting and ad‑hoc projects for a multinational manufacturing operation. You will provide analytical insight and decision support to the Global Financial Operations team while continuously improving reporting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyze operational cost data across all sites.
• Support global finance operations, planning, consolidation, reporting and analysis processes.
• Develop and maintain operational financial packages for each operating site.
• Assist special projects such as Value Stream Mapping, product cost visibility and financial close streamlining.
• Recommend process and policy changes to reduce cost and maximize profit.
• Advise executives on costing decisions based on financial data.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations with focus on CAPEX and inventory.
• Support monthly close, forecast submission and annual budgeting cycles.
• Prepare cost‑of‑goods‑sold and production reports highlighting historical results, budgets, forecasts and trends.

Required profile

• B.S. in Accounting or Finance (3+ years experience preferred); CMA, CPA or MBA a plus.
• 4+ years as a cost analyst, cost accountant or financial analyst in a global, multisite manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities; results‑oriented and comfortable with change management.
• Ability to work across all organizational levels and manage multiple responsibilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Oracle financial systems.
• Familiarity with Data Warehouse reporting tools.
• Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) preferred.
